Building Green

Green building is the practice of increasing the efficiency with which buildings use resources — energy, water, and materials — while reducing building impacts on human health and the environment, through better siting, design, construction, operation, maintenance, and removal — the complete building life cycle.

Homes at Deer Canyon Preserve will be an extension of the living environment. As such this page will highlight articles and websites that will hopefully be of use to DCP Homesteaders in choosing building methods, techniques and materials that help manage and conserve energy, resources and especially our breathtaking views!
